Why I Like This Picture – Dena and Chris

I remember laughing and laughing the whole day at this wedding.  Everyone was very animated and theatrical and funny and energetic.  Dena and Chris’ wedding was at the King Ave. United Methodist church and their reception was in the Small Theatre at The Columbus Athenaeum.  We stopped at the Union Station Arch for pictures, and Dena’s brother/groomsman and a fellow groomsman just happened to jump for joy as soon as they exited the limo.  I had just got out of the limo myself and my camera settings were for really low light – NOT the situation outside.  I think I shot this picture at some ridiculous ISO, like 4000 or something insane for an outdoor shot.  But, hey.  When you spot a moment happening, you sometimes don’t have time for adjustments.  And this is a good one – having both their legs up in the air at the same angle, and all within the frame, not cut off, and within the grass – well, it’s just about perfect, even if it was shot at ISO 4000.
