I thought I’d put up a few images from a great bridal session we had yesterday with my second shooter Karen’s sister Dyan. Dyan will be married in Amsterdam in August and we had the pleasure of photographing her at the marvelous Will Shively’s studio in the Short North. We used Dyan’s “real” gown and a used one purchased at a secondhand store. Better to rough up the “fake” dress!
We got a lot of really super shots, but here are just a few. I’m sure I’ll post more later, so be sure to check back!
Thought I’d throw on a couple shots of my fur-covered family, Hildy and Howie.
It’s been a while, and the last shot was in black/white. So now you get to see her in all her red glory! Whatta sweetie!
And here’s a shot of Howie. He’s as hard to capture as Hildy, but here he is just sitting out in the yard yesterday.
Last weekend, my great former bride, Mia, made the trip to Columbus from her home in Painesville to spend Sunday shooting with Melissa and me. Mia is a fabulous model and we had a great time shooting with her in an abandoned industrial area (in her wedding gown, no less!) and then back at my house in my living room. We had so much fun and created some absolutely gorgeous images of Mia. Turns out the light in my living room is stellar for shooting, so I’m definitely looking forward to doing more in there!
These post-bridal shoots are a great way to have some fun and play a little! I’d love to shoot more of my brides in this manner, so don’t be shy!
Here are a few of my favorites from our session:
