Mia!!

Last weekend, my great former bride, Mia, made the trip to Columbus from her home in Painesville to spend Sunday shooting with Melissa and me. Mia is a fabulous model and we had a great time shooting with her in an abandoned industrial area (in her wedding gown, no less!) and then back at my house in my living room. We had so much fun and created some absolutely gorgeous images of Mia. Turns out the light in my living room is stellar for shooting, so I’m definitely looking forward to doing more in there!

These post-bridal shoots are a great way to have some fun and play a little! I’d love to shoot more of my brides in this manner, so don’t be shy!

Here are a few of my favorites from our session:

This first one was taken by Melissa:

And these are mine:

Suzy and Brandon

Melissa and I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Suzy and Brandon this past Saturday, April 21. We couldn’t have asked for better weather! The wedding was beautiful! Suzy chose the most fabulous color for her bridesmaids to wear and, with the vibrant bouquets and the brilliant blue sky, made for some fantastically saturated images!

The wedding was held at the Clinton Heights Lutheran Church in Clintonville, with the reception at Confluence Park. Here are some of my favorite shots:

Isn’t she a beautiful bride?!!

Here are the amazing blue bridesmaids dresses:

Melissa created this great shot across the street from the church at the Longview Barber Shop. Love it!

After the ceremony we had a little fun shooting in Brandon’s grandpa’s vintage Cadillac Eldorado. Can you say swanky?! Woohoo!

Then Melissa had the great fun to ride with the newly married couple to the reception and captured this very fun shot:

I love photographing the bouquet/garter toss with the fisheye lens. It always makes for some interesting and unique images, like this one!

Congratulations, Suzy and Brandon!!

Happy Anniversary, Becky and Keith!

Congratulations are in order for Becky and Keith, who were married one year ago today. Check out the gorgeous flowering tree behind them in the first shot! Beee-u-tiful! Just like their wedding! They were married at St. Patrick’s in Dublin, with a fantastic reception at the Golf Club of Dublin. We had a great time – what a super couple! Happy Anniversary, Becky and Keith!!
