I had the extreme pleasure of getting together with the Emery family to celebrate Grandma and Grandpa’s 60th wedding anniversary with gifts and family photos. What a loving, fun bunch of people! We had a great time together and made some fabulous photos.
Major excitement ensued when I received an email from Erin telling me that baby Rory was due to enter the world soon and would I come by for pictures once he made an appearance. Yes, yes, yes, of course! What a cute, sweet little baby boy. And what loving new parents. It was wonderful to see Erin and Luke again (I shot their wedding) and to meet Rory and witness the start of their new family. I will look forward to seeing Rory grow up! But for now, look at him as a teeny tiny baby.
Camp Mary Orton is a lovely place for a wedding, even if the weather doesn’t cooperate like it’s supposed to at the end of April. Instead of warm sunshine and blue skies, we had clouds and wind and chill. Brrrr. But Alison and George were troopers for an outdoor first look and some portraits, so we made the best of it before heading inside to the warmth and glow of the lodge’s cozy fireplace. And with all the flickering candles on the mantle, it was simply beautiful.
I loved being part of this wedding; it was romantic and filled with love from friends and family who obviously adore Alison and George, and they each other. My favorite kind of wedding!
