The final week of weaving coincided perfectly with finishing my two rag rugs. The final rug weaving went quickly; it was just “leftover” anyway – leftover warp, leftover green rag – the latter of which I ran out of after about 18 inches.
Cutting the whole thing off the loom left the final task of doing the fringe.
After I said my goodbyes and cleaned up around my loom, I walked to my car with my rugs tucked under my arm and felt sad, almost like I might cry. Kind of like the last day of school, with summer looming ahead of me and another round of classes off in the distance.
