Theresa and Ray – a Columbus Athenaeum wedding

Theresa and Ray are two of the nicest, warmest people, and their wedding day – October 8 – was graced with beautiful sunshine and lovely fall color.  We did their first look at the Topiary Park by the Main Library, and then headed to the Columbus Athenaeum (one of my favorite places) for their wedding and reception.  There were lots of cute kiddos in attendance and a photobooth with lots of props for them (and the adults) to play with.

Have a look:

Congratulations, Theresa and Ray!!

Condom Couture 2011 – Shadowbox Theater

It was an honor and a privilege to photograph Condom Couture in 2010, and an even bigger honor and privilege to be asked back to photograph the event for this year.  My dear friend Karen and I had a fantastic time photographing the models being made up (by the uber-talented Tim Mauer of Mukha) and fitted by their amazingly talented designers, students of fashion design at CCAD who used 800 condoms to make the fashionable garments.

The venue this year was Shadowbox Theater’s new space down on Front Street and it was awesome.  The people who operate Shadowbox were great to work with and put on one hell of a show.  Loved the live band this year!

Enough jawing; let’s look at some pictures!

Melissa and Tom’s family – Short North portrait session

I love getting together every fall to document Melissa and Tom’s growing family:  seeing how the kids have changed from the prior year (which, at their ages, is quite a bit!), and enjoying the company of some of my favorite wedding clients – it’s a great tradition.  This year, we met up in the Short North on a picture-perfect October day and simply wandered around, ending up at Jeni’s (as all shoots should!).  Kids and ice cream:  a fantastic combination!
