Angel and Jon – Park of Roses engagement session

It’s no secret that I am a sucker for great light.  And, for Angel and Jon’s engagement session at the Park of Roses last week, we had it in abundance.

Angel and Jon’s was an extra special engagement session for me and I’m so happy that I could do this for them.  While I cannot be at the wedding, I wish them all the love and happiness in the world.

Tiny baby newborn photos – Columbus Ohio photographer

Hard not to love a tiny baby newborn and his tiny baby newborn photos!  Emily and Don, whose wedding I photographed three years ago, recently welcomed Don the III into the world.  What a sweet, cute, tiny baby newborn he is, too!  It was great seeing Baby Donny’s parents again and I’m so happy they invited me over to photograph him as part of my Real Life Forever portrait program.

I’ll quit gabbing now so you can look at some pictures.

Why I like this picture – Columbus Ohio photographer

It’s no secret that I love a picture that tells a story.  When I can sum up a neat little story all in one image, it makes my eyeballs happy.  In the following picture, the wedding party and I headed to Katherine and Chris‘ favorite ice cream shop for some treats after the ceremony.  Katherine’s maid of honor kept trying to get Katherine to wear a poncho while eating her purple ice cream, but Katherine refused.  By the time Katherine got to the end of the checkout line, a drop of the raspberry ice cream had plopped from the cone right onto her dress.

The story I love in this picture is the bridesmaid blurry in the foreground munching her ice cream and the other girls around Katherine trying to remove the ice cream from her dress.  To me, it’s the perfect set of contents to tell a great story.
