It’s fun to be contacted about shooting something so fun and special as a proposal. But, I have to say, I was extremely nervous! As the moment got closer and closer, I could almost hear my heartbeat and was so afraid I’d be spotted. Fortunately, my hiding spot was not discovered and I got great shots of Drew and Allison’s very special moment.
I tell ya, my clients are popping them out like crazy! I had another baby shoot for previous wedding clients, and this time I got to meet little Will, a beautiful baby boy. I shot Sara and Jason’s wedding a few years ago, and then Sara’s sister Laura’s wedding this past January, so I was thrilled to continue on with the very first grandchild in the family.
Last evening, my niece Melissa gave birth to her first child and our family’s first “great-” child. Seemingly not all that many years ago, I was in the delivery room with my sister when she brought Melissa into this world, and my most favorite part of supporting my sister that day was cutting the umbilical cord, a task that Melissa’s partner Steven performed yesterday. To say I’m happy for Melissa and Steven would be a gross understatement. Melissa has wanted to be a mommy for a long time, and I’m so happy that she has done just that. She will make a wonderful mother and I’m very proud of her!
