OSU College of Nursing – 2012 Reunion / Alumni Weekend

Over Alumni Weekend at OSU, I was asked to photograph a number of festivities planned for The Ohio State University’s College of Nursing.  I started with a tour of the college with members of the class of 1962, stopped in at a nutrition class, listened in/photographed the State of the College Address given by the dynamic dean, Bernadette Melnyk, and finished up the day with the reunion held at the Faculty Club.  The next day, I met up with the group at Newton Hall for a tailgate prior to the big game against Nebraska.  In addition to food, music, a caricature artist, and prizes, we were paid a visit by Brutus Buckeye and the football cheerleaders.  Top that off with a great and decisive win over the Huskers, and it was a great weekend to be a Buckeye!

Heather and Matt – The Columbus Athenaeum wedding

Heather and Matt’s September wedding and reception were held at The Columbus Athenaeum, one of my favorite venues in town.  They had a Dr. Who theme, complete with top hats, character tables and a police box for cards.  And the very best part of their wedding was the love of Heather and Matt and of their family and friends for them.  What a great, fun day!  Nothing makes a photographer’s job better than a bunch of happy, fun-loving people having a great time!

Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Party benefiting Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

I’ve been getting around lately!  A couple weeks back, I was honored to photograph the Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Party benefiting the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a fabulous party hosted by my former employer, Vorys Sater Seymour and Pease, and held at Smith Bros.

Lots of green-clad merrymakers enjoyed Irish beverages and food and bid on silent auction items, all for Cystic Fibrosis.  There were even Irish step dancers, a troupe of young girls each with a bounty of curls and energy.  It was a great event, and held yearly, so I encourage you to attend!
