Caitlin and Jay – Valleydale Ballroom wedding

Caitlin and Jay chose the historic Valleydale ballroom for the setting of both their wedding and reception and it was absolutely beautiful.  Such a pretty, elegant place for a winter wedding!  And we even had snow for some quicky outdoor portraits.  It was a great party and the guests had a total blast.  Let’s have a look.

Jena and Justin’s Columbus Athenaeum reception

Jena and Justin dodged some of our weather by being married in sunny Florida but got to slog through the snow with the rest of us on the way to their reception at the Columbus Athenaeum.  Theirs was my first event of the year and I’m actually glad we had snow to traipse through as it added something magical.  Luckily, we all remained upright on our trek from the Renaissance to the Athenaeum.

Jena and Justin had a wonderfully fun reception with great guests, so take a look.

Jeni and Robbie – portraits in the Short North

Take a walk anywhere with a puppy and you’ll be stopped by just about everyone, oohing and aahing over the cuteness.  That’s what Jeni and Robbie and I did with their new fur baby Elphie while they were in town visiting family for Christmas.  It was great to catch up with them again (I’ve shot three weddings in their family now!) and, of course, to meet the adorable Miss Elphie puppy (who, appropriately enough, was dressed as an elf)!  And no Short North photo session is complete without Jeni’s Ice Cream!  Especially when you’re photographing a girl named Jeni!
