I love seeing my clients year after year, or multiple times a year. Catching up with the portraits and their lives is always rewarding for me. And, such was the case with Alex’s most auspicious two-year birthday here recently. We decided to head over to the playgrounds at Goodale Park for some fun and then hang out in the backyard playing with Alex’s new car.
This picture is from Adriann and Reid’s wedding reception at The Westin. You know, if a groom is going to remove his bride’s garter with his teeth, then I’m going to get right in the middle to get a really good shot of it. I like this picture because of the hint of tulle from her dress and her leg jutting out from under it, with her toes splayed. Reid’s got a pretty good mouthful of garter and that is pretty funny as well. That’s why I like this picture.
I met Andrea because a friend sent me a link to her store in Tuttle Mall called Simply Vague, which sells the wares of local Ohio artists, crafters and manufacturers. Andrea and her husband Nate were offering up the opportunity for a local photographer to showcase their photos on a wall in the store, and I took them up on it and made a big deal about it on my facebook page. You’ll have to check it out – both my facebook page and my display (and their other goodies) at Simply Vague. It’s a really unique store with a lot of really unique items, and I’m really happy to have a wall for my stuff as well.
And, at the time I met Andrea, she was quite pregnant so it was only fitting that I photograph she and Nate’s first born, Holden. What a cute, sweet baby he was, too. Grandma even came over and participated in our little session.
