Will is One – Columbus family photography

I know I sound like a broken record, but I do truly enjoy seeing and recording the milestones in my clients’ lives, from weddings to babies to toddlers and beyond. And when I’ve done multiple weddings in one family and everyone gathers for the first grandbaby’s very first birthday, it’s a great opportunity to reconnect and catch up and to admire all the changes in everyone’s lives. For Sara and Jason, it was the celebration of Will’s first birthday that brought everyone together, including sister Laura whose wedding I photographed and who now has a tiny baby of her own. I loved seeing everyone again and meeting Luke, but best of all was seeing Will’s expressions as he drove his new car and clapped with glee as everyone watched him don his birthday hat. He was so excited that everyone was clapping! You’ll see.

The Schlegels – Columbus family photography

As has become our tradition, I see Stephanie and Greg and their adorable daughter Addie every year around the July 4th holiday, and this year, even though we had a threat of rain, at least it wasn’t 96 degrees like it was last year. And, this year, we decided to shoot at Greg’s parents’ property, which gave us corn stalks and horses and a pond. What a great visit we had and some great pictures too.

Alexis and Jason – St. James Lutheran and Makoy Center wedding

I remember when I first met Alexis and Jason: we spent a lot of time talking about food. It’s nice when there’s a shared interest we can bond over, as opposed to me just being someone who’s hired for a wedding. And, who doesn’t eat?

Alexis and Jason had a perfect day for their wedding and it was evident how much their friends and family adored them. It was a very fun party with lots of fun people and lots of love to go around.
