OSU College of Nursing 50th Reunion 2014

As in 2012, I was invited to photograph some of The Ohio State University College of Nursing’s 50th reunion festivities, this year starting with a donor appreciation wall dedication at the college and ending with a reception and the homecoming parade down High St. in front of the Wexner Center’s Mershon Auditorium. Being a lifelong Buckeye, getting to stand in the middle of the street photographing The Best Damn Band In The Land was a pretty heady experience. And, earlier, watching the reunion attendees interacting with the current nursing students who were dressed in period uniforms – seeing the attendees recognize uniforms they wore when they were fresh out of college and practicing – was a really nice touch.

Nicole and Nathan and Joey makes three – Dawes Arboretum family photos

It was mentioned at our shoot that it had been six or seven years since I’d photographed Nicole and Nathan’s wedding, so I was very excited to reunite with them and meet their newest family member to make some photographs on a damp Wednesday morning at Dawes Arboretum, where I’d photographed their engagement session many moons ago. The nice thing about shooting in a popular park on a Wednesday morning after it had rained for days on end is that you pretty much have the whole place to yourselves. Me likey. And me likey these pictures too. Have a look.
