Byron Saunders Foundation Volunteer Night

Every year, the Byron Saunders Foundation provides Thanksgiving dinner fixings for hungry Central Ohioans and has a legion of volunteers who hold food drives and who help out in the warehouse by boxing up the food for it to be picked up the Sunday before the holiday. This year we even had a tiny little helper!

This is the second year in a row I’ve photographed some of the foundation’s activities, and I’m so happy to be able to help in that way (in addition to donating food myself!). I’m all about helping make sure people don’t go hungry, so if you feel the same way, please consider helping out the Byron Saunders Foundation either by having a food drive at your office (which you can do any time of year) or by donating Thanksgiving foods yourself or making a donation through your Kroger Plus Card.

David is a Senior at Upper Arlington HS – Columbus Ohio senior photography

When moms talk, I usually end up shooting pictures of their seniors, even if they don’t attend the same high school. Such was the case with David’s mom, who works with the mom of one of my other seniors from a couple of years back. It’s so nice to be shared!

David, a senior at Upper Arlington High School, and his mom and I met at Bicentennial Park downtown on one of the most beautiful early November days – highs in the mid-70s, lots of brilliant sunshine and those rich blue skies. It was the perfect day to wander around taking pictures and also to see the new improvements along the Scioto.

Have a look.

Will and Ellie and Mommy and Daddy – Columbus Ohio family photographer

Any time of year is a good time for family portraits, but fall is extra lovely, especially if there are little kids and leaves on the ground.

I usually photograph Sara and Jason’s family over the summer, for Will’s birthday, but I had just shot Sara’s sister Amy’s wedding in South Carolina right before that, so this year we got together in the fall. Having the leaves to play in was great for the kids – they loved kicking them around and tossing them into the air. Throw in the dog, and it’s a whole family affair. I love getting together with Sara and Jason and seeing how the kids grow and change over time! So fun!
