On July 5, Melissa and I had the pleasure of photographing the lovely wedding of Laura and Mark. For Laura and Mark, it’s all about the love they have for each other and for their families and friends, and it’s more than evident in the images we made for them that day. I can’t say enough what a wonderful time we had with Laura and Mark. They are simply delightful and we were honored to be invited to share their day.
Here are a lot of my many favorites. Hard to narrow it down, so enjoy the show.
Laura’s bridesmaids made her a scrapbook. Image by Melissa.
Laura and her sister, Annie, who works at my salon – Studio Fovero! I’ll be excited to see Annie whenever I go in there!
Laura and mom, trying to keep from crying.
I love this shot Melissa got of Mark.
This little guy is a tad bit wary of the whole tie business.
Absolutely adorable, she is.
I LOVE this shot.
Simply beautiful. This has to be one of the most gorgeous gowns ever, and suited Laura to a T.
Melissa caught the last goodbyes before the girls headed up the aisle.
The Entrance. I just love the grandeur of St. Joseph Cathedral.
One of my favorite shots from the ceremony.
This is one of my favorite shots of the ceremony too! The line-up for communion.
Immediately following the ceremony. “Alone” in the midst of everyone.
Melissa got this great shot of the wedding party boarding the trolley, but what’s cool about it is the reflection of the cathedral in the mirrored building across the street. Awesome!
Nothing beats the beautiful light through the cathedral doors.
Pesky dress!
We wandered around the grounds of the State House and had a ball taking some fun shots.
I spy a moment during the toasts.
Annie’s toast notes and bouquet.
Laura’s dad gave arguably the funniest (and most embarrassing) speech I think I’ve ever heard, and this is what Laura thinks of it.
And in a touching part, dad reads from a birthday card Laura made for him when she was 5 or 6.
Have to include a shot of the guestbook, complete with signatures and well-wishes. I love the guestbooks and custom-make them for lots of my fabulous clients.
Melissa took this great smooch shot.
The piano player. This guy was amazing. Just amazing. So amazing, in fact, that Megan and Elwood (Laura and Mark’s friends, guests at their wedding and also my clients for August 23) are hiring him to play at their wedding! I look forward to hearing this guy croon in August!
Who can resist a nose-picking shot? Not I, said the photographer!
DJ Chuck Badgley provided the tunes that got the crowd on their feet. Love DJ Chuck! He is a class act!
Taylor Mansion, where the reception was held. Definitely Columbus’ best kept secret.
Sparklers to end the evening.
Congratulations, Laura and Mark!!
