Jeni and Robbie – Grove City Ohio wedding

August 14 was like old home week for me, shooting Jeni and Robbie’s wedding.  Jeni is the sister of one of my grooms, Alan, of Jennifer and Alan, and it was great seeing all their family again and Jennifer’s as well.  I also got to see my upcoming October bride and her fiance, Sarah and Jared, Sarah being Jeni and Alan’s cousin.  I can’t wait to see this whole group again in a couple months; they’re all so much fun and so lovely to work with.

Jeni and Robbie were married at Grove City United Methodist Church with their reception at Pinnacle Golf Club, where I’d never been.  What a beautiful and elegant ballroom!  And, despite the torrential downpour, we even got to go outside for a few quick pictures.  It was a great day and I loved making these images for Jeni and Robbie!

Please enjoy!

From KISO Fotografia to Karen Evans Pictures

If you’ve found this blog, you might be wondering about the connection between KISO Fotografia and Karen Evans Pictures.  Considering I AM Karen Evans and for seven years operated my photography business as KISO Fotografia, there is a BIG connection!  And, after seven years, I thought it was time for a change.  So, from now on, my business will be known as Karen Evans Pictures.  As of now, this blog is in place, but I’m just waiting to finish up the website and then everything will be complete.

Uncle Bob vs A Professional Wedding Photographer

Saw this absolutely wonderful and on-point blog post from ISPWP (of which I’m a member!) on choosing between “Uncle Bob” and a professional wedding photographer for your wedding.  I especially love the chart highlighting the important differences and I’m sure there are a lot of things on this list that brides don’t know to consider, so I thought I’d share that great post here.
