Nancy and Doug – Lancaster, Ohio wedding

Nancy’s parents’ 1800’s house was the setting for Nancy and Doug’s very intimate and lovely wedding, and the weather could not have been more perfect. After days – nay, seemingly weeks – of wet and dreary weather, the clouds parted and the sun came out of hiding. It was a truly glorious day for an outdoor wedding.

Add to this the palpable love between Nancy and Doug, not to mention sno-kones, s’mores and a pool party, and you’ve got one amazing wedding.

Elizabeth and Chris – Wittenberg/Springfield engagement

Since Wittenberg University is where Elizabeth and Chris met, it was only fitting that we shoot their engagement session on campus. It’s a lovely place – I’d never been before – and the weather was hot and sunny. They brought their dog, Angus (of AC/DC fame) and Elizabeth’s mother, who I’ve met a couple of times. We had a really fun time hanging out and getting to know each other more and I’ll be very excited for everything they have planned for their July 3 wedding.

I love this shot. Elizabeth is saying "throw the ball over here" just as Chris throws the ball over there.

Tammy, Josh and Lucas – family portraits

Long ago, back in my corporate world days, my office was right across the hall from Tammy’s. She left the law firm before I did, but I’d since seen her at one of my weddings and then was invited over to photograph her adorable son Lucas on the day of his first birthday party. Lucas was dressed to the nines when I got there, all dapper in his seersucker suit coat and tie.
