In lieu of Planned Parenthood’s annual Condom Couture event, they held a centennial celebration fundraiser at the Greater Columbus Convention Center downtown, featuring Gloria Steinem as their very special guest.
This is the second time I’ve been chosen by Planned Parenthood to photograph an event with a very famous central figure, the first being President Bill Clinton, and, this week, the feminist icon, Gloria Steinem (who eschews the term “icon”, even though she is!). With women’s healthcare under almost constant assault nationally and locally, her life’s consistent message was more urgent than ever.
