Moved to February from October, this was my fifth year as the official photographer for Planned Parenthood of Greater Ohio’s fabulously fun fundraiser, Condom Couture, and as always, it was nothing short of spectacular. The freezing temperatures and snow didn’t keep the house from being full and the show, of course, was plenty HOT!
Columbus College of Art and Design fashion design students were each given 850 condoms and charged with constructing runway-ready garments for fantastic prizes and accolades. The party is held yearly at Shadowbox Live in the Brewery District and, holding it in February proved too much for the few protestors the event usually draws. Not to get too political here, but I can’t understand why people protest health care for women! Go figure!
Here are a few highlights from the event, including some great behind-the-scenes shots taken by my lovely friend Karen Lynch and, of course, moi. Have a look, and plan to attend next year!
