Last week was the VIP party held for surgeons, architects, and all others who had a hand in bringing Riverside Methodist Hospital’s new Neuroscience Center to life. Each of four floors had live music and a dining station, and prior to the self-guided tours everyone was serenaded in a moving performance of Over the Rainbow by 125 members of the Harmony Project<\/a>, an a cappella<\/em> group of local volunteers. The building itself is beautiful and patient-centered, with private rooms with either windows toward an inner, lush green courtyard or to the outside, and it is a state-of-the-art building, to be sure. I toured it the week before the party to get the lay of the land prior to the event and to say that it is impressive is an understatement. What a lovely and important addition to our community! We are very lucky to have this facility and its wonderful and talented surgeons and staff.<\/p>\n
