Time for another installment of “why I like this picture”, or “it’s winter, let’s blog”.<\/p>\n

This time, the image comes from Megan and Kevin<\/a>‘s wedding reception at the New Albany Links Country Club.\u00a0 This was during cocktail hour; guests were arriving and greeting one another and gearing up for a fun evening.<\/p>\n

Sometimes I like to just stand back and watch what happens – through my camera, of course.\u00a0 It’s interesting to me to watch people interact, to try to see patterns and shapes and compositions.<\/p>\n

I like this particular image because it has all those things.\u00a0 I like the undulating quality of the heads spread across the width of the photo and how if you move your eyeballs from left to right it’s like a rollercoaster. I like that everyone is occupied because it makes me wonder what they’re thinking about or talking about. I like that I am standing there with my camera aimed in the direction of all those people and they’re all completely ignoring me. That’s the way I like it – it makes for the most interesting and intriguing photos.<\/p>\n
